Q: How long will the repair take?

A: We endeavor to try and complete a job within 24-48 hours. If however, new parts are required or need to be ordered, this may prolong the repair process. In case of delays you will be kept updated of time scale for the repair. We repair most faults within 1-2 days, and also offer a same-day priority service (subject to availability of parts if required).  If additional parts are required to complete the job, once the part are ordered they should arrive with 48hours or next day, though is reliant on courier companies and the postal service. We realise how difficult being without your computer can be and we will always try to get it back to you as quickly as possible.  We do not send computer equipment away unless it is absolutely necessary, or is requested by the customer, owner or manufacturer. All repairs are carried out on-site at our Didsbury, Manchester workshop.

Q: How much do you charge for computer repairs?

A: We will always offer you a fixed price for a repair, for example a laptop screen repair/replacement service, we will give you a total price inclusive of external charges before any parts are ordered or repairs actioned. In the event of fault diagnose we will charge a flat fee of £30.00 for diagnoses process, which will be waived if the repair is actioned. We don’t want you to have any nasty surprises; therefore we want you to know exactly what your repair will cost before any repairs are action or parts sourced.

Q: How can you offer such low pricing compared to other repair services in the area?

A: Due to our very low overheads and running cost, we can forward the savings made to our clients. In addition to our low overheads, we also have cost effective marketing program which gives us recommendations and repeat business; we don’t spend a lot on advertising to get good results. We also believe in charging a fair price for the work we do.

Q: Why would I use you rather than a high street shop or major retailer such as PC World?

A: We pride ourselves on offering a personal service. You will speak directly to the person or technician carrying out the repair on your equipment, and explain your problem in detail. We try to turnaround repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible, and can often complete a repair on the same day or within 24 hours, unlike big brand or major stores which may often quote longer periods for there repair services. All computer repair services are carried out on-site at out Didsbury, Manchester workshop, therefore we do not send computer equipment away to a service center or third parties for repairs unless absolutely necessary.

Q: Is my computer going to be sent elsewhere to a third party for repair?

A: All repair service are carried out at our Didsbury, Manchester workshop, we undertake all computer repair services on-site at our workshop in Didsbury. In some cases we will be required to send computer equipment away for diagnoses or repair by third parties, customers, owners or manufactures, though this is not the norm. Most equipment will be repaired on-site.

Q: Do you replace broken laptop screens?

A: We offer a laptop, notebook and net-book screen replacement services. A screen replacement service is one of our most common requested repairs, and can be much cheaper than buying a new laptop computer. Call us for a quote.

Q: Is my data safe?

A: We will always take great care in looking after your data and understand the importance of it. We will discuss backing up your data with you prior bringing your equipment in to us before undertaking any work is carried out. If you data is not backed up prior to the repair process we will not be responsible for any lose of data during the repair process. If you would like us to backup your data before the repair process, there will be a charge which will be added to your final bil for the backup process. We can offer advice on back up solution, such as types of backup systems i.e. flash drives, external hard drives or cloud base systems. We always recommend a full backup where possible prior to any repair service being actioned.

Q: What about the warranty on repairs?

A: All new parts come with a 1 year manufactures warranty, unless other wise stated. If any part supplied fail with the terms of the warranty, they will be replaced within the terms of the warranty guidelines. All repairs carried out have a 28 day garantee. As a fair and reputable company we pride ourselves on great customer service.

Q: Do you offer no fix no fee?

A: We offer a "no fix, no fee" service to all our customer. This will only apply if we cannot find a fault or problem with your computer. As stated earlier we will charge a flat fee of £30.00 for fault diagnose, which will be waived if the repair is actioned. In the event the client decided not to proceed with the repair or service, a diagnostic fee of £30.00 will be charged.

Q: Do you offer a same day service?

A: A same day service if will only of offered where possible. This service is wholly dependent on current work flow and the requirement of the client. This service will only be carried out at our workshop, and equipment must be dropped off before 10.00am for the same day service to be effective. A same day service will incur additional fees or cost.

A: We offer a call out service, which is charged at £65.00, and includes the initial first hour of the service. The callout charge will be added to the final bill.

Q: What is your hourly rate for repairs and upgrades?

A: All work carried out is charged at a set rate £40.00 per hour plus parts. All work carried out at your premises will be charged at a set rate £40.00 per hour, though in some cases a set charge will applied if the cost of the repair is deemed out weighs the cost of the hourly charge. The set fee for repairs deemed too costly will be agreed by the customer before hand. No repairs or parts sourced will be souced without prior authorisation by the client.

Q: What do you require to carry out the repair?

A: To carry out a repair or service on a your computer, we will need to be able to access the computer equipment in question. Therefore we will need all administrative and main user passwords to access the computre to carry out the repair or service. To carry out a repair or service all we need is the computer tower it self and no other accessories aprat from the power core if it is unique to the computre power supply (if it is a windows based computer). If it's a laptop/notebook we will require the laptop it self and power adapter or cable to carry out the repairs. If on the other hand it's an Apple Mac computer, depending on the model we may require additional accessories (i.e. keyboards and mice) to access and repair the computer.

Q: Will my data be safe?

A: Yes your data is safe. All data backup is the sole responsibility of the client, all important data must be backed up before our engineers start any repair process. All personal data will remain safe during a general repair process. We can not guarantee recovery of personal data if the hard drive is corrupt, we will try and recover data where possible. We strongly recommend everyone backups up their data as often as possible, to avoid data loss.
